General Information

The city of Burghausen has taken over the tasks of the lower building control authority since 1977.

The Lower Building Supervision department is responsible for the implementation of the Bavarian Building Code. This also applies to other public law regulations relating to the areas of construction, modification, change of use, removal as well as the use and maintenance of structural facilities in the city of Burghausen.

As part of the building permit process, the employees check whether the builders are complying with the public-law regulations. They also check whether deviations, exceptions or exemptions are necessary and whether they can be granted.

The lower building control authority also examines the granting of partial building permits, applications for preliminary decisions and the extension of the period of validity of existing permits.

The Altötting district office decides on the approval of a building application in accordance with the Immission Control Act.

The construction supervision is also the responsibility of the Lower Building Control Authority. This includes building controls, the implementation of the Bavarian building regulations, recurring technical tests and fire protection. The employees also approve "flying" buildings.

Anyone who needs information about a building permit requirement arranges an appointment with the employees of the lower building supervision. The builders should bring any existing older construction documents or plan sketches for the planned construction project with them to this date.

Other tasks of the building administration or the lower building supervision include

  • Enforcement of Water Laws
  • Monitoring of the heating oil tank systems
  • Enforcement of the Nature Conservation Act and the Forest Act in building law proceedings
  • Road and right of way (dedication)
  • house number allocation
  • Enforcement of the Home Ownership Act; Issuance of the certificate of completion
  • Enforcement of the parking lot statute
  • Surveying, procurement and continuation of maps, use of the field jury
