Kulturbüro am Bichl © City of Burghauen

General Information

Like hardly any other city in the region, Burghausen enjoys an excellent reputation as an extraordinary city of culture. The Burghauser Kulturbüro organizes an interesting and varied range of cultural activities throughout the year.

This includes numerous of its own events that the cultural office initiates and carries out: concerts, plays for adults, young people and children, festivals, readings, lectures, panel discussions, retreats and much more. The employees also look after the anchor hall, in which regular events take place in addition to various film screenings.

In addition, the employees of the Burghauser cultural office also coordinate cultural events from external organizers.

A wide variety of events are highlights of Burghausen's year of culture.

The cultural location of Burghausen is home to a large number of event rooms and halls, which give every cultural event a special flair not only in terms of equipment and accessibility, but also through their ambience. In addition to the large event halls such as the Stadtsaal, the Wacker-Halle, the Bürgersaal in the Bürgerhaus and the auditorium of the Kurfürst-Maximilian-Gymnasium, there are also venues such as the Jazzkeller, rooms in the former Raitenhaslach monastery and the Ankersaal.

The Burghauser Kulturbüro is a partner of the European Weeks Passau eV, the Silent Night Society, the Biennale Bavaria International, the Music Summer between Inn and Salzach and the TUM Academy Center Raitenhaslach.

The cultural office is available as a diverse service provider. People with disabilities who want to attend cultural events in Burghausen ask the employees of the cultural office to register in advance by telephone.

Culture lovers can follow the Burghauser Kulturbüro on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.
