The House of Photography in Burghausen offers its visitors a comprehensive insight into the world of photography. The photo museum was founded in 1983 and three years later it was made the focus museum for photography.

In the rooms of the House of Photography, visitors can study more than 170 years of photographic history: an outstanding camera collection of more than 600 devices from all times and areas of application can be found in the museum as well as a presentation of early photographic processes and historical recordings of Burghausen's town history.

Another jewel of the facility is the gallery for contemporary photography. The House of Photography also regularly presents special exhibitions that revolve around different positions in the field of artistic photography.

The House of Photography was founded in 1998 after its founder and longtime director Dr. named Robert Gerlich. Those who are interested will find it directly at the entrance area of ​​the world's longest castle complex.
