The city of Burghausen wants to offer its population a home and support social and intercultural dialogue. The city therefore pays particular attention to solidarity, the inclusion of people with disabilities and civic engagement. All residents of Burghausen should be able to take part in municipal events on an equal footing. Burghausen therefore wants to offer space for encounters, sports, recreation, art, culture and history.
In order to realize all these plans, the city is expanding its range of leisure activities for children and young people, as a family city it offers security for generations and is developing a solidary urban society. A welfare-oriented housing policy and the expansion of volunteer work are also on the agenda of the city of Burghausen for a social city and social togetherness.
