Exhibition of old paintings in the castle © Hannah Soldner

Whether in the old town or the museums, whether churches or monasteries - in Burghausen the important past of the city is reflected in many places. A large number of paintings, sculptures and buildings document the rise of Burghausen and its economic heyday and heyday under the Lower Bavarian Wittelsbach dukes Heinrich, Ludwig and Georg in the 16th century.

Works of art were created in this era that have not lost their imposing radiance to this day and give an impressive insight into that time.
