The city of Burghausen set up a digitization department in 2022.
With this staff unit, the city wants to master all the tasks that result from the growing importance of digitization: New technologies are being developed and brought to market at ever shorter intervals. The potential offered by digitization is correspondingly large. In order to use the potential, however, challenges must also be mastered.
The digitization manager develops the digitization strategy of the city of Burghausen and controls the digital transformation. In addition, the staff unit advises the specialist departments on digitization issues. Together with the various specialist departments, she drives forward the planning, management and implementation of specific digitization measures.
The planning and implementation of various digitization measures are always carried out in compliance with applicable data protection and IT security requirements.
Even if the city of Burghausen is creating more digital offers, it will continue to offer the citizens of Burghausen comparable options: the analogue route to the town hall is still possible for all citizens of the city.
