The year 2022 is a special year for Burghausen in terms of citizen participation. In three large projects, the citizens of Burghausen have or had the opportunity to get involved in the further development of Burghausen.
The Citizens Council made a start on sustainability. 54 selected people who support the city in its sustainability efforts met here on behalf of all residents of Burghausen.
In May, the public participation on the future of the old town took place. The old town should be made fit for the future and become an even nicer place to live, work and live. Here the residents of Burghausen were able to get involved in a three-day ideas workshop. The schools were also involved and attended the idea workshops in the morning as part of the lessons.
As the last major participatory process, the public participation in Neustadt will start in November 2022. Marktler- and Robert-Koch-Straße are to be extensively redesigned in the next few years. The quality of stay should be increased and the city's sustainability efforts should be realized. Here, too, the opinion of the citizenry is in demand.
