Park in Burghausen © City of Burghausen

In the city of Burghausen there are many parks and green areas, meadow orchards and small forests. The maintenance and care of all these areas is a special focus of the city of Burghausen. The city's employees not only take care of the green spaces and parks, but also of the projects that they have launched on these areas. These include the Waldrapp project at the Pulverturm, the grazing of the castle slope by Tauernschecken or the wine and godparents.

The lively green cityscape of Burghausen is developing dynamically, as are the natural areas of Wöhrsee, Burghang and Salzach.

The residents of Burghausen find peace and relaxation in all of the parks and green spaces, as do visitors to Burghausen.

The different natural facilities offer a lot of variety for young and old and bring them closer to nature.

What is remarkable is the care with which the city of Burghausen creates and further develops the near-natural facilities and in this way creates fascinating and valuable refuges in the city area.

"The Bräugartl is intended to bring the flora and fauna closer to the children as a natural and recreational area as well as an educational trail."
