The jazz courses of the Burghauser IG Jazz have been an integral part of Germany's jazz scene since 1972. Jazz musicians and jazz enthusiasts register for the courses nationwide.

The Burghauser jazz courses traditionally take place in the study center for contemporary music in the Burghauser Mautnerschloss in the first week of January and the first two weeks of August. The courses are designed differently in order to deepen the knowledge of all participants - regardless of their ability - in theory and practice.

In the morning there are lessons on the instrument, in the afternoon the organizers put together combos that play together, and in the evening there are sessions on the program. During the courses, the participants exchange ideas intensively with the experienced teachers and other jazz lovers.

Above all, it is the joy of jazz music, of playing together, that makes the Burghausen jazz courses so attractive and lively.
