Yoga course in the Raitenhaslach monastery © Robert Banfic

The Raitenhaslach Monastery retreat invites you to take a break to discover new physical and spiritual practices. Yoga, meditation and mindfulness are all the rage as cultural techniques for dealing better with oneself and with others. A withdrawal - i.e. a "retreat" - from the familiar environment in favor of a spiritual break creates phases of relaxation and stress reduction. Participants at the Raitenhaslach Monastery retreat find out what deeply human needs these body-mind-connecting techniques satisfy.

The retreat is open to everyone who likes to move, takes time for themselves and wants to discover new things. All courses are designed for an open level of participants - newcomers, beginners, advanced or professionals benefit in different ways from the content presented.

Many prominent lecturers have already been guests, including Dr. Patrick Broome, Steven Barrett, Markus Stockhausen, Felix Krammer, Amelie Meisinger, Martina Ofenmacher, Prof. Dr. Andreas de Bruin, Dr. Britta Hölzel, Claudia Peschke, Felix Krammer and many more.

The former Raitenhaslach monastery – today the academy center of the Technical University of Munich – with its extensive grounds provides the appropriate setting for contemplating inner contemplation, exploring nature and finding inspiration.

The Cistercian monks once made the monastery a center of religiosity, spirituality, the arts and sciences.

With the retreat in this extraordinary place, the long tradition of encountering oneself and others is continued.

All information about the retreat can be found here.
