The civil engineering department of the city of Burghausen is responsible for the planning and implementation of new urban construction measures as well as for the maintenance of the city's streets, paths, squares, bridges and supporting structures. The civil engineering department represents the builders in urban civil engineering projects. Tasks include scheduling and cost control from the project idea to acceptance, determining the basis for tenders and the professional execution of construction work.

 

Your tasks

  • Planning, coordination and support of civil engineering measures
  • Creation of cost and area calculations according to DIN
  • Preparation of specifications for tendering for construction work
  • Participation in the tendering and awarding of construction projects
  • Project coordination as client representative with all those involved (external engineering offices, municipal authorities, residents, construction companies, etc.)
  • Preparation of sketches and plan drawings
  • Monitoring of construction costs and billing of the commissioned services in accordance with VOB
  • Statement on building applications from private developers, utility providers or in the course of land-use planning procedures in the interests of civil engineering
  • Support the electrical department in maintaining street lighting and traffic signals
  • Assisting in the creation and planning of the household budget
  • Prepare draft resolutions for committee meetings and occasionally take part in them

 

We expect

  • a completed training as a civil engineering technician (m/f/d) or a completed bachelor's degree in civil engineering
  • Experience in handling and using common MS Office and CAD programs
  • Knowledge and experience in organizing, implementing and instructing structural measures
  • Sense of responsibility, reliability, negotiation skills as well as communication and teamwork skills
  • Enjoy dealing with citizens, residents and other people involved or affected
