Concert in St. Georg in Raitenhaslach © City of Burghausen

The late baroque pillar church in Raitenhaslach impresses with its overwhelming interior design.

The construction has its origins in the Romanesque 12th century. The first consecration took place in 1186 - and this already with the enormous dimensions that are still impressive today.

Numerous redesigns culminated in a programmatic late Baroque interior design down to the smallest detail for the 600th anniversary of the monastery in 1746.

After the monastery was dissolved, the church was rededicated in 1806 as the parish church of St. George. The baroque world view and Christian faith are thus unbroken.

The church interior unfolds its effect in an ideal way at concerts and events with a spiritual background and offers an opportunity for reflection, especially at atmospheric Advent concerts.

The interest in the Raitenhaslach church concerts, which extends far beyond the borders of Burghausen, shows that space and music form a harmony here that fills people up.
