April 23, 2024. For the second time, family representative Doris Graf invited people to welcome the newborns of Burghausen. Around 25 parents with 15 children accepted the invitation and met in the family home on the morning of April 12, 2024. The children were born between September 1, 2023 and February 29, 2024. Some parents not only took their newborns with them, but also older children, who had a lot of fun on the gymnastics mats provided.
“I hope that we make your time with your children as pleasant as possible,” said Doris Graf, welcoming the parents. “You can also come to me at any time with requests or criticism.” Parents are welcome to do so office hours which takes place every Monday from 14 p.m. to 17 p.m. in the family home. “Welcome again from my side!” said First Mayor Florian Schneider. “It is important that you like Burghausen and that you feel comfortable here. We are a big family in Burghausen and are happy that you are part of it.”

The rooms in the are suitable for this house of the family particularly good. “In the family home, a lot of things are under one roof, there are lots of offers for families and advice centers such as the Child Protection Association also have an office here,” explained Christine Auberger, head of the family home.
Auberger also explained to the parents the procedure for registering for a daycare place. Because in Burghausen, parents don't have to worry about finding a childcare place for their children shortly after birth. The next newborn welcome will take place on October 11, 2024. Families with newborns born between March and August receive a personal invitation from family advisor Doris Graf.
